Our Builders

We're working closely with our builders to integrate environmentally friendly and resource-conservative building practices throughout Kiley Ranch. Our building partners are encouraged to use sustainable building techniques while limiting the amount of construction waste removed to landfills.  The Sierra Green building program and LEED for Homes are important tools for their success.
Some of the techniques our builders are using include:

• Passive solar heating and natural daylighting
• Energy-efficient appliances and building systems
• Low-E windows, open floor plansRecycled and reclaimed materials
• Low-water landscaping
• Low impact site design strategies that reduce the load on storm water systems
• Healthy building materials that foster quality indoor air environments
• Education to homeowners and maintenance staff on efficient use of systems and healthy cleaning methods
